Byenveni nan dosye Kalkil 1a : Derivasyon an kreyòl !

Save yo rekonèt ke matematik ki sèvi kòm fondasyon syans ak jeni modèn se Kalkil. Inisyativ MIT-Ayiti kontan anpil pou n pataje materyèl pou kou Kalkil sa a gratis ti cheri selon yon lisans Creative Commons ki bay anpil libète pou moun sèvi ak materyèl sa a lib e libè.

Materyèl la chita prensipalman sou yon kaye egzèsis nan fòma nimerik sou entènèt. Nan kaye sa a, w ap jwenn tèks ki enteresan, anpil pwoblèm ki tou vini ak solisyon yo (genyen ladan yo ki difisil anpil), zouti nimerik ki entèraktif e ki pèmèt yon angajman kreyatif ansanm ak anpil lyen pou videyo kou majistral ak ti prezantasyon byen kout ki gen soutit an kreyòl.

Kou a se premye pati nan premye ane pwogram kalkil nan Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Derek Rhodes òganize materyèl la nan fòma nou wè l kounye a epi li te sèvi ak entèlijans atifisyèl pou li verifye tradiksyon an.

Welcome Calculus 1a: Differentiation in Kreyòl!

The mathematics that serves as the foundation of modern science and engineering is universally recognized to be Calculus. The MIT-Haiti Initiative is delighted to offer this Calculus courseware, freely available under a liberal Creative Commons license.

It centers on an online Workbook. Within it you will find engaging text, many worked problems and challenging exercises (with solutions), embedded mathematical manipulatives allowing creative engagement with the mathematics, and numerous links to video segments of lectures and short expositions, all equipped with Kreyòl subtitles.

This courseware is a translation of the prize-winning MITx MOOC Calculus 1a: Differentiation, developed under the direction of MITx Math Instructors Jennifer French and Stephen Wang. The course represents the first part of the standard first year calculus course at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology taught by MIT Mathematics Professors David Jerison and Gigliola Staffilani, and is designed to closely track the Calculus AP curriculum.

The Kreyòl translation of the English transcripts was ably carried out by Charlot Leonard De Gracia, with assistance from Professor Paul Belony. Derek Rhodes assembled the course in its present form and organizing an AI-based translation verification. It is designed to work seamlessly on many devices, including cell phones. The video segments are accessible independently of the Workbook at this YouTube channel.

We are deeply indebted to the MITx organization for supporting this translation project over the many years it has been under way. Conversations with Isaac Chuang led to this idea, as a way to explore translation of MITx material in order to increase its global reach. We hope this work is a step in that direction.

The Creative Commons licensing encourages the embedding of this material in any form into any other curriculum—with acknowledgement to MITx and MIT-Ayiti. We hope you learn from this course and enjoy it, and we welcome feedback on this material!
